Lemon-yogurt-pepper chicken

Ingredients: chicken 500 gms, plain yogurt 150 gms, lemon juice (from one medium sized lemon), one garlic (medium size), one onion (medium size) , green chilly (2), black pepper powder, red chilly powder, salt to taste and half tea-spoon oil

Recipe: Add half tea-spoon oil in the frying pan and heat it. Add chopped garlic and onion to it and fry it for some time until the onion becomes translucent. As the amount of oil is very small, you need to stir it constantly so that it does not get burnt. Now, sprinkle a very small amount of water in the frying pan and place the lid on it. Wait  until the chopped onion and garlic become tender. You need to check meanwhile if you need to sprinkle more water in the frying pan. Now add chicken, lemon juice, red chilly powder and salt to your taste in the mixture of onion and garlic in the frying pan. Cook it on medium heat placing the lid on the frying pan. You do not need to add any oil or water at this moment because the lemon juice and the water and fat coming out of the chicken will keep the mixture moist. Make sure you cook on low to medium heat so that the chicken gets well cooked and does not burn. Cook until the chicken gets soft. Now, add the plain yogurt into the mixture and cook it on low flame for 5 to 7 minutes with the lid on the frying pan.  When the chicken gets well cooked, add chopped green chilly and black pepper powder into it and cook for one minute. Remove the frying pan from the flame and let it settle down for 5 minutes. The dish is ready now.

One thing that I would like to mention is that I have used green chilly, red chilly powder and black pepper powder to add different flavors. Make sure that you do not add an excess amount of any of these. Otherwise, the dish would become too hot. Add all these ingredients and salt to your taste.
