Chinese chicken with vegetables

Ingredients: chicken 500 gms, yogurt 50 gms, 1/2 garlic  (medium size), 1/2 onion  (medium size),  one green chilly , one tomato (medium size) two potato (small size), one carrot (standard size), 1/2 broccoli (small size), green peas, beans, salt and black pepper to taste, red chilly sauce and half tea-spoon oil.

 

Recipe: Marinate boneless chicken with yogurt, one tea-spoon salt and black pepper powder. Keep it in the refrigerator for an hour.  Chop potatoes, carrot and broccoli into medium sized pieces. Also chop  beans, onion, garlic, green chilly and tomato. Add oil into the frying pan and heat it. Add onion, garlic and tomato and fry until they become tender. You might need to sprinkle some water but hopefully the tomato would keep the mixture moist if you cook on low flame. Now add the pieces of potatoes, carrot and  beans into the mixture and cook them with the lid placed on the frying pan until they become a little tender adding salt to the vegetable. You might need to add very little water to make the vegetables soft. Now, add the marinated chicken and green peas and into the cooked vegetable. Cook it on medium flame until the chicken becomes well cooked and tender.  You need to check and stir the mixture from time to time in the meanwhile. Now, add broccoli pieces  and red chilly sauce and cook for 5 to 7 minutes or until the broccoli pieces become tender with the lid on the frying pan. Now, remove the frying pan from the flame and keep it like that for a few minutes. Your dish is ready now.
